LES MIS CH 11

We get an explanation on why the bishop acted the way he did towards the former member of the French convention.  The argument the bishop had with him only made him more gentle as he was surprised at himself for ever having an attitude like that. We got to see why he had a hatred towards luxury as he saw it as an inconvenience and knew what the poor peoples conditions where while other people have all the luxury's. The Bishop also had two brothers a general and a perfect, and he showed more affection to  the perfect than his other brother which really surprised me as I never thought of him to act like that with his own siblings. Being more harsh and stern to his general brother by going after the emperor. I liked this chapter as it gave an explanation and reasoning to why the bishop acts the way he does towards political subjects.

 October 29  I balance my need for individuality and to fit in by finding people who would accept me for me. To others who may come across our friend group we may seem weird, strange, or dumb. August, 20     Question : Why is it that so many young people want to be older, and so many older people want to be young? How do you feel about your age?      Younger people want to be older to be seen as more mature and responsible. Some may want to be older in order to work and earn their own money, be able to live in on their own, or any other adult like subject that seems fun and exciting in their eyes. They mainly just want to be older or seen as an older individual in order to stop being nagged at by others and have freedom in their lives without someone looking over their shoulders at all times. However older people want to be younger in order to reclaim their youthful, energetic, and stronger self they used to have. Some may just want to look younger or not have as many responsibilities like taxes. As for me I feel stuck in the middle. I don't want to be younger as I would get less freedom in my life and don't want to be as old as to miss out on the tee...

FINAL REFLECTION FOR WORLD LITERATURE 2020-2021

      I thought going into my sophomore year of high school would have been like going into high school as a freshmen but with less anxiety and less getting lost looking for classes. I also had high hopes for the end of our freshmen year. However I did not expect my freshmen year to end with me at home locked in my room. It was kind of surprising that we suddenly went into quarantine right after they said there was a possibility of going into quarantine in a few days. So far this school year has been a rollercoaster of surprises and it has took a while to get used to everything.      Before I used to dread English class.
