LES MIS BK 2 CH7

 I got a little lost in this chapter but I did find it interesting how Jean Valjean thought of the world. We got to see a bit about what he though of others and got to see what he thought of himself and the actions he took. Surprisingly he was self aware that he did do a bad thing and was ashamed of it, but he did think that they punished him unfairly for a petty crime like stealing bread. He also though of the world as unfair to people like him who could barely make enough money to live even though they worked hard. His points of view where quiet intriguing and I do agree with a lot of them in a way.

 October 29  I balance my need for individuality and to fit in by finding people who would accept me for me. To others who may come across our friend group we may seem weird, strange, or dumb. We all have our quirks and may get out of control form time to time when we have sudden mood changes or may just act awkward and shy. LES MIS BK 2 CH 6

 We got more back story on our main character Jean Valjean and a reason as to why he was put in jail. After going over this chapter it makes me feel pain for Jean Valjean and what he had to got through in his life. He basically lost his entire family. The reason why he was put in jail was super unfair to me as he was basically put between a rock and a hard place. Its a person with good intentions forced to do a bad thing. Jean Valjean was either forced to steal food like the bread he stole to feed his family or watch them slowly starve to death. This just shows how unfair the world can be to some people and how they could still be labeled bad or criminal even though they where doing it to save someone or themselves.

August, 20     Question : Why is it that so many young people want to be older, and so many older people want to be young? How do you feel about your age?      Younger people want to be older to be seen as more mature and responsible. Some may want to be older in order to work and earn their own money, be able to live in on their own, or any other adult like subject that seems fun and exciting in their eyes. They mainly just want to be older or seen as an older individual in order to stop being nagged at by others and have freedom in their lives without someone looking over their shoulders at all times. However older people want to be younger in order to reclaim their youthful, energetic, and stronger self they used to have. Some may just want to look younger or not have as many responsibilities like taxes. As for me I feel stuck in the middle.
